Ullr (oo-ler) is the god of snow, a well-known mascot and host of many a festival in Breckenridge. In preparation for a snow-carving competition (more about that later in the post), Utah carver Ron Eye and I carved this custom bench. We’re hoping to sell it at the Snowflake Challenge this weekend, but if not, feel free to contact me with an offer! The bench’s back was intentionally left bare, and is designed to be customized with a business or family name:
The big block of snow in the background is the 4x4x8 foot block of snow Ron and I are carving into a winter scene with Looney Tunes character favorites Bugs and Daffy, and an Abominable Snow Man. We’re working on the sculpture overnight tonight, and will post the completed seen soon – so stay tuned! In the meantime, you can see our work-in-progress below:
